SEPTEMBER 27, SUNDAY, 3:00PM BEYOND FORGETTING: POETRY & PROSE ABOUT ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE Close on the heels of Memory Walks to end Alzheimer’s in Seattle (9/12) and Silverdale (9/19), we proudly host Holly Hughes of Indianola, poet and editor, who heads up a presentation of a moving and beautifully wrought anthology that brings together myriad expressions from all phases of this pervasive and devastating illness. She is joined by poet Tess Gallagher, who contributed a foreword to the collection, and local contributors including John Davis. A kind of portable support community, Beyond Forgetting is a fine and valuable contribution for family, patients, caregivers, and anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of Alzheimer’s. This book is long overdue! | 28
