Exit Strategy: Leaving this Life with Grace and Gratitude presentsa hard look at elder care in America through the eyes of one of its most charming and outspoken elders, a nursing home resident named Bee Landis. Exit Strategy offers deeply moving testaments to the depth of healing that occurs when one faces their own fears and charts a course to forgiveness. It is equally compelling as an antidote to American cultural misgivings about aging and death as it is a model for every caregiver of the elderly and dying. This book humanizes the aging process in a no-holds-barred manner that gently forces us to recognize we are not only all in this together, we are also going to exit at some point. Collins emphasizes that having our own exit strategies will help us to live each day more fully, genuinely and lovingly. Exit Strategy can also be used as a conversation starter with those whom we love. Ordained as a Unity Minister in the early 70s, Kelsey Collins, M.A. began a lifelong journey through many other faiths and perspectives to broaden her internal awareness, inviting others to always look to their own hearts to discover Universal Truths.  She speaks regularly at the Spiritual Awareness Center at the Old Stone Church in Bend, Oregon on a series entitled “What are We Waiting For?” and at Wholistic Compass Workshops with Partners in Care in Bend on coping with and overcoming illness and life changes. Kelsey’s work offers deeply moving testaments to the depth of healing that occurs when one faces their own fears and charts a course to forgiveness.
