THE LITTLE BOOK. Having written The Little Book, his first novel, over the course of 30 years, Selden Edwards visits from Santa Barbara for a presentation that should hold equal parts interest for the making of the book as for the book itself.
The work has its origins in 1974, when Edwards was a young English teacher, and is part mystery, part meditation on the inextricable relationship between past and present, and part paean to a bygone era, moving fluidly through time and space. Variously described as riveting, breathtaking, intelligent and richly imaginative, The Little Book has been hailed as a classic in the making.
