Morley
Morley purchased Eagle Harbor Book Co. in 1997. He was born in Seattle and grew up in the suburbs. After graduating from Huxley College of Environmental Sciences with a B.S. in Human Ecology, Morley lived in various places including Bellingham, Olympia, Seattle, and New York. He eventually earned his captain's license and spent 15 years working on various environmental/educational sailing vessels including the Clearwater, Adventuress, and Lady Washington. In 1988 Morley co-founded the non-profit Sound Experience with the mission of "Protecting Puget Sound Through Education" where he worked as executive director and sometime captain aboard the schooner Adventuress. In his spare time he reads nonfiction and plays his guitar and banjo. He loves reading and says, "I lived 2 blocks from my neighborhood library and spent a lot of time there. My idea of fun was skipping school and taking the bus to the downtown Seattle library for the day."
