The 8 Principles of a Heart-Healthy Woman, with Susan Levy
Put yourself first in your New Years resolutions, and come hear Bainbridge author Susan E. Levy talk about her new book, The 8 Principles of a Heart-Healthy Woman: Making Better Choices for Life.
When Levy intentionally began her heart-healthy journey five years ago, she had been through a lot of tough issues. It was two years after her son died, and she was still fragile—emotionally and mentally. Through menopause, she was overweight, her body ached, and her health statistics were all going the wrong way. "I was not exactly a poster child for my business as a heart-healthy living expert," says Levy.
She wanted to hit her 60th birthday in better health than she was at 50, which was pretty good. "Little did I know that the baby steps I describe in this book would become a path that would help me blaze a new and healthier trail. It would also be a trail that would sustain me through even more troubled times to
come. But by the time I celebrated my 60th birthday, I felt more vibrant than I could have ever imagined."
Levy chronicled her journey in a blog on wellfedheart.com, and soon many readers were following her weekly take on health and nutrition..
