In-Store Book Fair: The Island School
Cock-a-Doodle-Doo! Island School Librarian George Shannon will be joined by the library Rooster to make their In-Store Book Fair a grand time for young readers and their families and friends. There will be stations with brain-stretching pictures, and a stack of Rooster's favorite books! Come support this important community resource on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Families and friends can shop for teacher recommends, or purchase books on the school wish list! You are invited to shop ahead for the holidays, birthdays, or your own stack of "books to read. Eagle Harbor Books will donate 20% of all sales between 5-7pm to the Island School. Any book pre-ordered and paid that night will also be counted toward the evening's total!
We love supporting our local institutions, particularly those that foster a love of reading. The Island School, nestled in the woods off Day Road, has offered a safe, supportive learning environment for children and their families since 1977. Their mission is to educate children and inspire in them a lifelong enthusiasm for learning and an appreciation and respect for themselves and others.
