Garth Stein is the author of several novels, including the New York Times-best-selling The Art Of Racing In The Rain, which has sold more than six million copies in 38 languages. It’s also inspired a number of children’s books featuring the novel’s canine narrator, Enzo, and was adapted into a major motion picture starring Kevin Costner, Milo Ventimiglia, and Amanda Seyfried.
Garth was raised in Seattle and lives part-time on Bainbridge Island with his wife, Drella, and their three children. He is a co-founder and co-executive director of Seattle7Writers, a nonprofit collective of Pacific Northwest authors that supports area literacy organizations and creates connections between writers, readers, booksellers and librarians.
