Eagle Harbor Book Co. will be closed at least through the duration of the Stay Home Stay Safe ordinance, now scheduled to end on June 1.
Thank you to all of our customers for the support you have shown us these last few weeks, and especially for your patience while we sort out our new routines. Although our doors and phone lines are closed, we are currently able to fulfill orders received through our website, with deeply discounted shipping rates for USPS media mail shipping. We can ship millions of titles in-stock at our warehouse even if they aren't in stock at the store. Please do not choose in-store pick up as an option, or we will not be able to fulfill your order. Thank you for continuing to shop with us during this uncertain time!
The demand for jigsaw puzzles is greater than ever, and we have many in stock. We've compiled a list of puzzles that is either in stock now, or is available to order within the next week.

We thank so many of you who have asked how you can support us during this difficult time. Right now, there is no better way to support us than by keeping us in mind for any book purchases you might have. On our website search for any book in print, order it, and we will ship it to you at deeply discounted media mail shipping. Simply choose our Stay Healthy shipping option at check-out. Your online purchase becomes a vote of confidence that will help to sustain us during these uncertain times. Whenever possible, we will give you the option of picking the book up from our customer pick-up basket and remove shipping charges from your order.
Many of you have requested the option of picking the books up at the store and avoiding shipping charges. That option is available if the book is already in the store. Since the shutdown, we have not been able to receive deliveries of new books or restock. So if a book is ordered that is not in our current inventory, we will ship it to you directly from our supplier, and shipping charges apply. When the book is in the store, we will give you the option of customer pick-up, and then remove the shipping from the order. We hope to be able to receive deliveries again in the near future.
Other steps you can take include the following:
- Pre-order not yet published titles from our website.
- Buy gift certificates and gift cards now to be used at a later date.
- Sign up for a Libro.fm subscription — 100% of the proceeds will go towards the bookstore for a limited time only.
- Sign up for our e-newsletter and follow us on social media for periodic updates.
We wish each and every one of you safety, health and resilience. As you shelter in place, please turn to us online to see our reading recommendations and other bits of literary interest. We hope to continue offering the sense of community that our bookstores engender, even if we cannot see you in person.
