Book reader, tea drinker, and animal lover. A local of the island since she was tiny (okay, well, she's still tiny!), she ventured south to California for college but the northwest called her home. She is fully immersed in fantasy books and it can be hard to pull her out. Her other reading tastes include mystery, historical fiction, and YA. She collects weird fun facts, goes world traveling, solves British mystery shows, and enjoys watching Bainbridge wildlife.
A wedding invitation you definitely might want to decline! Foley follows in the footsteps of Agatha Christie with a remote setting of an island off the coast of Ireland and explosive secrets between spouses, siblings, and guests you can’t wait to discover. With lives and reputations at stake, who doesn’t want a front row seat?
I adored this YA novel and the books following it in the series. Second only to the Harry Potter books in my love for fantasy, it has something for everyone, with romance, action, humor, monsters, a fierce female lead, and in my opinion some of the best quotable lines in YA literature. Prepare to laugh and cry as you get to know a few of the most memorable characters this genre has to offer.
Ever feel like your friends are up to something without you? In this beautifully written tale of the academic world, Tartt introduces us to the elite study of Classics, and five students who are willing to go a little too far in their search for something special. I was drawn in immediately by the feeling of being back at school, with a charismatic professor and friends who might just do anything for you… or to you. This story will have you thinking back to all your adventures at college, and any secrets that might be hiding there. ~ Sarah
